Job Summary:

The P-3 Aviation Structural Mechanic (AM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) will work as a member of a P-3 Maintenance Team performing technical training of aircraft systems during foreign military transition/integration training.  The SME will be required to perform Intermediate Level (I-Level) maintenance courseware development/update and provide classroom instruction and Practical Job Training (PJT) of aircraft tire and wheel assembly maintenance, as well as all associated corrosion control functions.
Background Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED equivalent.

  • Navy AM Class A-School graduate.

  • Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit (CNATTU) P-3 Organizational Maintenance (Initial and Career) course graduate, with a Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) code 8319 (P-3 Systems Organizational Career Maintenance Technician) highly desired.


  • Candidate should have a minimum six years of experience in a Fleet Readiness Center, Intermediate (FRC) Intermediate Level (Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD)) as an AM, designated as a Structures/Hydraulics and Related Systems Collateral Duty Inspector.

  • A Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) 9502 (Instructor) and Master Training Specialist (MTS) designation highly desired.
